FAQ

  • What makes Let's Get Moving different?

Let’s Get Moving services are designed to provide the individualized support and attention needed to make a long lasting impact. It’s not just about the actual time working together- it’s about establishing good habits and building a healthy lifestyle through movement, including family members and care partners in planning as well. Not everyone can participate in traditional forms of exercise so having the expertise of a physical therapist ensures you have the appropriate program, support, and resources to be as active as possible.

  • How is wellness different than physical therapy?

Wellness sessions provide general exercise training and are geared toward maintaining well-being and physical activity levels. While physical therapy is restorative in nature, wellness is preventative and proactive care. Wellness services can either compliment current covered physical therapy services or stand alone when therapy services are not indicated (which is most common).

Wellness services do not meet the threshold of medical necessity and are preventative in nature, which means they are non-insurance covered services.

  • What if I'm not local to Bucks County?

Wellness services can be provided virtually so distance is a non-issue. Both individual and group virtual services are available.

  • Who benefits from wellness or fitness services?

Older adults and those with neurologic disorders benefit the most since they are at a higher risk for a decline or adverse effects if they are inactive. Research also shows that older adults benefit most from individualized support to increase and maintain consistent activity levels.

  • How long do programs last?

It depends! Each program is customized to reach personal wellness and fitness goals. Some clients choose to receive services on an ongoing basis while others are able to reach their goals with a tapered approach. There is no long term commitment so you can choose whichever program best meets your needs for any duration of time.

  • How do I know which program is for me?

We'll start with a phone screen to determine what types of services you are looking for. There is no commitment so we can update your program as our journey together progresses. If you are local to Bucks County, we will likely meet in person with virtual services available everywhere else.
